They are carding and spinning with a malacate or supported spindle. Lana mexicana or handspun and naturally dyed wool was used predominantly. Commercial wool with chemically dyed colors was interwoven.

Están cardando e hilando la lana con un malacate. La "lana mexicana", hilada a mano y teñida de colores naturales, predominaba en combinación con la lana comercial teñida con colores sintéticos.
