In the Early Morning ca. 1900-1905

During this period women were typically responsible for the majority of the agricultural work because men left for wage labor, often out-of-state. The women here are wearing shawls for protection from the sun rather than the bonnets which came into use in later years.

Durante este período, las mujeres generalmente tenían la responsabilidad de hacer la mayoría del trabajo agrícola porque los hombres se habían ido a trabajar a veces en otros estados.
